Advocate staff from the Race Equity Project, a special project of Legal Services of Northern California, are available to present on any of the REP tools (Social Cognition and Mind Science, Framing, Community Lawyering, the Intent Doctrine, GIS and Mapping, and Structural and Institutional Discrimination). The REP has been conducting trainings on these tools and assisting social justice organizations to implement effective race equity practices for over five years. If you are interested in having REP advocates present to your organization please contact us. Please note, our live presentations offer substantially more depth, content, and interactivity then the samples posted below.

Training Trainers on Social Cognition and Mind Science
The REP has been training advocates to educate their organizations and clients on the REP tools (Social Cognition and Mind Science, Framing, Community Lawyering, the Intent Doctrine, GIS and Mapping, and Structural and Institutional Discrimination) for the last several years. We’ve decided to share some of the slides we use to train trainers on social cognition and mind science. The training trainers course introduces future trainers to the core concepts of social cognition and mind science. The training trainers course and the slides displayed below are more technical in nature then the slides used to introduce advocates and community members to social cognition and mind science.

The slides used in that training are provided below. We’ve recorded narration to accompany the slides. This narration was recorded after the March 20, 2009, presentation. The audio portion of the slidecast my take a few minutes to buffer depending on the speed of your internet connection.
